Continuing Education [12 hours / 2 days]
Class Details
You want to help you fibromyalgia clients, but don't know where to start. Search no further!
This is the most informative course for massage therapists and bodyworkers who want to gain a complete understanding of fibromyalgia and learn the proven massage protocols that will help relieve their clients' various symptoms and pain. Swedish isn't effective, deep tissue leaves the client in great pain, trigger point therapy is even worse for them. Once you learn FibroMassage, there will be no need for any other bodywork for your FM clients.
This course will teach you what FM is, the symptoms, and techniques to relieve the symptoms. You will learn reflexology for fm symptoms, a headache protocol, and irritable syndrome (IBS) stomach massage. This course includes a workbook, hands-on practice, and group discussions.
This innovative massage protocol takes a different approach to a condition that keeps the medical field puzzled. This class will provide the student with a thorough understanding of Fibromyalgia. It is a protocol based on the 18 Tender Points. This course not only deals with the tender points, but also other bodywork techniques to help alleviate symptoms such as sleeping disorders, digestive problems, fatigue, and costochondritis. The success rate of this protocol is 80% or better; and will create an environment in which the Fibromyalgia sufferer will flourish. The best part is that this course was created and taught by someone who has FM and works solely with people who have FM. Learn from someone who truly understands how it feels to live with this sometimes debilitating condition.
The learning environment will be a hands on approach with instructions to learn the protocol and adjunct techniques associated for each symptom of FM. You will also review the course book, handouts, along with class notes. Written Exam will be reviewed.
At the end of this course, you will be able to determine between a trigger point and tender point. You will be able to help with various symptoms associated with FM be using the adjunct techniques for irritable bowel, headaches/TMJ, pain relief, and strengthening the immune system.
