Welcome to our Costa Rica 2009 workshop series. We have designed four workshops that can be taken individually but also complement each other to give you content and experience that will serve you very well in a professional career in the health, wellness, tourism and spa industry and other related fields. * Tuition Only: The "tuition only" price includes all materials needed for the workshop as well as comprehensive manuals and certificate of completion. Accommodations and meals are not included in this price. Individual meals can be purchased separately in advance.
** Package Deal: This is the best deal! The price is per person and includes accommodations onsite at Global Creek Retreat Center based on double occupancy as well as 2 scrumptious meals per day (Breakfast and lunch) dinners are available for an additional charge. Single rooms are available upon request at an additional cost.
For those who are booking multiple courses you may continue to stay at the retreat center in between courses. The cost for accommodations is $35/per night including breakfast. Early arrival and late departure are also available for this special price.
The package price includes an additional night so you can arrive either the day before the workshop begins or leave the day after the workshop ends.

We do not believe that the cost of education should prevent participation. If you feel that you really want to participate but currently do not have the means, contact us and we might be able to consider work-exchange to reduce the fees. Location
Practically on the border Panama, Puerto Viejo de Talamanca (as opposed to Puerto Vie jo de Sarapiquí further north) lays in the province of Limón on the Caribbean side of Costa Rica. The world class surfing and stunning beaches attract a wide range of nationalities. However, what sets Puerto Viejo apart from the incredible quantity of beautiful tropical beach towns in Costa Rica is its reggae vibe. It is a town unlike any other in the country.
From Limon / San Jose:
We are located approximately 1km after the intersection to the town of Bribri; We will be on your left-hand side of the road, just before the first bridge after this intersection.
From Puerto Viejo:
We are located about 3.5km outside of town, northwards towards Cahuita, Limon and San Jose. The easiest way to find us is often to count the bridges you cross as you are leaving town, and we are located on your right-hand side just beyond the 3rd bridge.
Language
The class will be held in English. We have bilingual particpants and can offer translation and explanantion as needed. Basic understanding of simple spoken English is necessary.
Arrival
Participants must arrive on the first day of the workshop by 10:00 am. Because of the location, an arrival the evening before is recommended if you are coming from further away. You might also want to extend your stay past the last day of the workshop to explore the area.

Sleeping
The intensive is designed to be a residential retreat which means that participants are encouraged to stay at the retreat as part of the workshop experience, building a community of friends while learning and practicing together. For this purpose accommodation is simple but functional with shared quarters in double rooms with two single beds unless otherwise requested.
Meals
Meals are prepared onsite and include breakfast, lunch and dinner with a focus on fresh, wholesome and healthy ingredients. Vegetarian (lacto-ovo) options will be provided. Teas, water and fruit is available throughout the day.

Money
The colon is the Costa Rican money. The exchange rate fluctuates between 490 –
520 colones/US dollar. The easiest way to convert money in your head is to multiply the colon
amount by 2 and knock off 3 zeros: for example, 10,000 colones is $20. Exchanging money at
the airport is not necessary as there are plenty of places to exchange money and most places will
accept US dollars and give you colones in change. Additionally, you can use your
Mastercard/Visa ATM card at most banks and get colones.
