Element II - Spa Treatment Design Challenge. Shopping the local market for the best ingredients.

As part of the program, we visited the local market to source natural ingredients that were then became part of the treatment design process. Natural ingredients were used as the sole foundation for treatments but also in combination with professional products leading to uniquely customized scrubs, masques, wraps, quenches, glows and many other treatment types.

Preparing scrubs, wraps and masques

An extensive client intake was part of the procedure, treatments were freshly prepared with simple methods of grating, chopping, slicing, blending and stirring. Each treatment was designed with specific intentions in mind: healing, soothing, hydrating, exfoliating, warming, cooling and combinations thereof.

Presentation and application The presentation was equally important. Integrating products and treatment elements on a product tray to explain intentions and offer products that would enhance the process after the client had received their treatment. And of course the direct experience was well worth it :-)

Practitioner presenting (with noni wrap) and presented (with mud masque)

By explaining the purpose of each treatment and the effects of the ingredients before each treatment and receiving constructive feedback on how the treatment was experienced, services were fine-tuned and perfected.

Advanced protocols with all natural ingredients

After the basic services had been learned in Element I, Element II went on to explore more refined treatment protocols including enhancements, upgrades, hair-wraps, and combinations to make the spa menu more interesting and appealing.
